October 10, 1945 - Clarence joined the US Navy and went to Navy Boot Camp in Great Lakes Chicago October 10, 1945.
January 1946 - Served on the USS Lyman K. Swenson (DD-729), an Allen M. Sumner-class destroyer. The ship went to Shanghai, China and held the position of "Ship Fitter" today known as a machinist mate.
November 1946 - Returned to the US from China for a short time because of mother's death in Michigan.
January 1947 - Returned to Seattle, Washington to Said Point Naval Station as a Hydraulic Specialist
October 1949 - Honorably Discharged from the US Navy
Married Edna Marie Collison in 1948 and had two children Cliff and David.
Moved in 1948 - Lived in Golden Colorado
Worked as a mechanic for Freight Trucks
Went to work in the Elevator industry
1st Worked for Montgomery Elevator
Then in the next 9 years he worked putting in Elevators that went side-ways in parking garages then for the city
He also married Ida C. Childs in Colorado.
He died on December 23, 2007, in Lafayette, Colorado, at the age of 86
